My work on PermitPro brings AI into environmental permitting for state governments and federal agencies. The product helps regulatory teams review applications, extract requirements, and prepare draft permits while retaining human review and sign-off.

Designing around the regulator

The product supports the work from intake and completeness review through regulatory requirement extraction, permit drafting, and quality review. Professional judgment remains with agency staff.

From state deployment to federal recognition

The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services selected PermitPro for its NPDES permitting work. In July 2026, PermitPro was selected for the White House Council on Environmental Quality’s Permitting Innovators initiative and included in its Solutions Catalog.

This work connects product design with the day-to-day responsibilities of public agencies: making complex information usable while supporting accountable decisions.
